The parent class is a brand new RMV driver education requirement. It is required for all students who are under the NEW JOL driver education requirements. All students who obtained their permit on or after September 1, 2007 are under the NEW JOL driver education requirements.
The parent class will explain all the new JOL laws, how to log driving hours taught by parents, tips on how to better teach your student the proper techniques and rules of the road.
- The parent class is free for all parents who have a student enrolled* with Grand Prix,
- Any parent who does not have a student enrolled* with Grand Prix may attend a parent class for a $20 fee.
- All parent classes are 2 hours in length, as mandated by the RMV. Plus 1/2 hour Q@A session after the class
- We offer numerous classes throughout the year.
- Parents may attend any parent class on the calander (with a reservation) bearing that they have an enrolled* student. The student does not need to have classroom or driving hours completed for a parent to attend.
- RESERVATIONS are required to attend a parent class, please call the office to make reservations. Reservations are accepted until the start of class.
