Sponsorship - Sponsorship for Registry Road Test
The Registry of Motor Vehicles requires that the car used during the road test has a center console emergency break and that the sponsor is present during the road test. A sponsor is anyone who is at least 21 years of age, and has as least 1 year of driving experience. The sponsor must be licensed in this state or their home state. Sponsorship is sometimes the easiest way to get your child his/her license its great for the parent and student who aren't 100% confident and need that extra hour or hour and a half to refresh their minds with an instructor. Sponsorship is available to any enrolled student who has completed all drivers education requirements and has been certified. On every students 12th hour they are "graded". The grade is to determine whether or not they would pass a driving exam, if the instructor feels that they would they are given the option of Grand prix sponsorship.
Commercial Students are over the age of 18 and only require driving lessons until they feel confident in passing the road test. We require any commercial student we take to the RMV to have done at least 1 hour of driving with us before we will book them for a road test.
GRAND PRIX WILL NOT SPONSOR ANYONE THEY DO NOT FEEL IS ABLE TO PASS!
What Sponsorship Includes: Before a road test is booked we need the sponsorship form filled signed, the yellow RMV sheet filled out and signed and the payment. Then we will book your road test and old onto your paper work (except for money for the RMV) until your test date. We will also take care of reserving a Grand Prix car and instructor for the warm up and road test. All people scheduled for road tests are required to get a ride to the RMV to meet the instructor for the warm up and a ride home after their road test.(unless special arrangements have been made.) GRAND PRIX POLICIES: We will not reserve you a road test with out payment in full for the services to be provided. If you have to cancel we must have 48 Hours notice or you will not receive a refund.
RMV Policies / Junior Operator Provisions:
1. Students under 18 must have completed a drivers education course, and must be certified.
2. Junior Operators must have held their valid permit for 6 months before road test date.
3. Student must have fulfilled the 40 hour supervised driving with a parent.
4. You must have your valid Massachusetts Permit on your person.
5. Please have the following fees ready for the RMV:
A. Road test fee: $20.00
B. Class D license fee: $50.00
These fees can be paid in cash or by one check for $70.00.
Checks should be made payable to RMV or prepay fees using the RMV's telecenter 1-866-627-7768.
Prepaying is highly recommended
Grand Prix Policies:
1. The yellow license application, payment and the bottom of this form must be returned to the office before your road test date to reserve the car and the instructor.
2. Please keep the top half so that there will be no misunderstanding of policies and procedures.
3. You must provide your own ride to and from the RMV.
4. No reservation made without payment.
5. No refund if cancelled or you don't show up for our warm-up lesson.

Standard
Shift Lesson -
Standard shift is available by appointment.
The rate for standard shift instruction is $80.00 per hour. If already enrolled in a driver's education program, a student can opt to have any number of their hours of driving in standard shift for an additional charge of $40 per hour. Please call for more details.
We cannot guarantee door-to-door service. Please ask at the time that you book your appointment.

Adult
Driving Instruction / Hourly Lessons
Licensed or drivers with learners permits may take as many lessons as they need to feel confident for their road test with the Registry of Motor Vehicles. No minimum number of lessons required.
Driving lessons can be 1 or 2 hours in length.
Flat Rate: $60.00 per hour Driving lessons are door-to-door service for most areas and are by appointment. They are to be scheduled by calling the main office in Hyannis at 508-771-1227.
We require a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel a lesson - or a fee will be charged.
Classroom
Only - $300.00
This is for students that only want to complete the thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction.
